Die Geschichte von Seiko begann 1881 als der 22-jährige Unternehmer Kintaro Hattori im Zentrum Tokios ein Geschäft eröffnete in dem er Armband- und Wanduhren reparierte und verkaufte.
Heute, nach mehr als 135 Jahren Innovation, widmet sich die Firma von Kintaro Hattori immer noch der Perfektion, die der Gründer seit jeher anstrebte.
Seiko ist eine der wenigen Uhrenmanufakturen weltweit, die über die Fähigkeit verfügt, alle Phasen der Uhrenfertigung im eigenen Unternehmen durchzuführen, von der Uhrwerksentwicklung über die Produktion der Teile bis zur Assemblage aller Komponenten.

Vor über 50 Jahren, am 25. Dezember 1969 stellte Seiko die erste Quarzarmbanduhr der Welt vor. Es war eine Uhr, die die Uhrenindustrie revolutionierte und deren Markteinführung einer der wichtigsten Meilensteine in der Geschichte von Seiko ist.

Montre Seiko de qualité et solidité
Montre à pile, donc heure toujours précise, contrairement aux montres automatiques. La fabrication Seiko est de bonne qualité et solidité. La lecture de l’heure est aisée, mais surtout la fenêtre des jours et dates donne un affichage très clair, donc très facile à lire aussi. Le confort du port de la montre au poignet est correct et sans gêne.

Beautiful, classy and classic watch!
I ordered this Seiko timepiece for my girlfriend as a birthday present. It’s the perfect size and perfect look, very classy design, „timeless“ as the saying goes. My GF is very happy with it! Was delivered on time and works perfectly. Price was very competitive, a bit lower priced than at well known storefront retail shops.

Un orologio di Qualità ad un prezzo contenuto
L’orologio ha un quadrante dal disegno molto semplice e “pulito” e notevoli pregi: la cassa è sottile e molto leggera, è molto preciso, si parla di pochi secondi al mese avendo un movimento al quarzo, ha il calendario con anche i giorni della settimana, nel mio caso in inglese e tedesco, è molto silenzioso. Una nota negativa, almeno per me, e che dalla foto sul Sito non risulta evidente, è la grandezza del quadrante. Io ero abituato ad orologi del “tipo sub”, cioè di quelli con una ghiera che è possibile far ruotare intorno al quadrante e questo orologio compresa la ghiera aveva 40 mm di diametro, cioè uguale a questo; però la ghiera ne occupava una buona parte riducendo lo spazio per il movimento delle lancette, per cui i primi tempi avevo quasi l’impressione di avere una sveglia al polso o peggio di avere un orologio “patacca“, di quelli che si vendono sulle bancarelle per pochi euro; quindi il mio consiglio è quello di vederlo “dal vivo” prima di procedere con l’ordine
Altro consiglio che mi sento di dare – anche se mi rendo conto di entrare in questo caso in un campo molto più soggettivo – è quello di togliere il pesante bracciale metallico e sostituirlo con cinturini in tessuto di nylon dai colori chiari, che riprendono i segni delle ore e la finestra del calendario. I cinturini attuali hanno i perni a sgancio rapido che permettono di sostituire il cinturino in pochi secondi , senza attrezzi e da parte di chiunque
Altro aspetto negativo è che il vetro pur essendo di “ tipo Zaffiro” è molto esposto agli urti ed agli sgraffi rispetto agli orologi “tipo sub” in cui la ghiera è sopraelevata rispetto al vetro; occorre quindi avere una maggiore attenzione e riguardo all’orologio
Altro aspetto negativo è che la corona, la parte che ci serve per spostare lancette, non è del tipo “a vite” ma semplicemente a pressione; credo che le corone con la vite siano riservate agli orologi del tipo “subacqueo vero”; però si parla in questo caso di orologi molto più grandi e pesanti e soprattutto molto più costosi

Lovely watch but a couple of downsides
It’s a lovely watch. The gold coloured dial and gold stripe in the strap is enough gold to look chic and not tacky (as some gold watches might do). Perfect size for my wrist , not too small and not too large. Looks elegant. I can wear this with a gold necklace and it looks stylish.
The watch comes with a tool to remove links, it was very easy to use and took less than 5 minutes to do.
The day of the week setting is in French and English.
Overall great purchase – My only concern is that the bezel will definitely scratch over time, and I suspect it will scratch very easily. I can tell immediately by the quality of the gold plating on the bezel that it is definitely not scratch resistant. It has that shiny thin kind of plating – so let’s see how long it lasts.
The watch looks nice but could be higher quality to justify the price, its really just the same standard as a fashion watch, in my opinion. In which case it is not worth more than £120.

Instructions for removing links were very well written. It made it very easy.
Readability, accuracy excellent. I don’t intend to wear it while swimming so no comment on water resistance

Jolie montre
Montre à la fois classique, féminine et élégante. Toutefois il n’y a pas suffisamment de contraste entre le fond du cadran doré et les aiguilles fines et également dorées il est difficile de lire l’heure.
À noter également que l’affichage du nom des jours est uniquement en anglais et en allemand. C’est dommage.
Je précise que la livraison a été faite par Amazon contre un code secret qu’on doit donner à haute voix au livreur. Il est plus judicieux d’être présent à son domicile lors de la livraison car il ne faut effectivement pas laisser la montre dans sa boîte aux lettres. La montre est emballée dans plusieurs boîtes et bien coincée sur un coussin. Elle ne bouge pas. Le colis est un carton de grande taille donc aucun indice sur la valeur de l’article.

Low readability
This watch, Seiko SUR341P1, has one important drawback – low visibility in low light.
The dial, unless viewed in bright light, is almost black. So, to get good visibility, the hour markers (indexes) and hands must be white or light-colored or shiny.
The applied indexes are shiny on the outside and white inside. The white color comes from lume material. The indexes are well visible in low light. Well done!
But the hands are problematic. The metal of the hands is grayish, not shiny, and is badly visible in low light. The lume paint on the hands is not white, perhaps is off-white. While the lume paint is visible in low light, it is not well visible (after the green glow has faded away after 15 minutes). In addition, it is difficult to distinguish between the hour hand and minute hand at a glance.
The day and date window at 3 o’clock is a problem. It is big, white, with a shiny rim. As a day and date indicator, it is works well. But when a hand is over that window, it becomes indistinguishable from the window at a glance in low light. For example, if the hour hand is over the day-date window, it merges visually with the window and may look like the minute hand. Now the watch looks like having two minute hands. When both the hour and minute hands are over the window, the three (2 hands and 1 window) sort of merge, and reading the exact time becomes difficult.
Add to all this the high reflectivity of the sapphire glass.
As a result, this Seiko watch is difficult to read in low light in most situations, compared to other similar watches.
Should the day-date window be less prominent, the readability problem would be reduced. Also using shiny hands could have helped.
However, in bright light the readability is acceptable, and the color of the dial becomes dark gray-blue. In bright light, especially outdoors, it is a pleasure to look at the watch and read the time, day and date.

Non funziona il datario
Bell’orologio, peccato che il datario non funziona.. il pacco è arrivato venerdì 14. Mentre impostavo l’orologio con ora e data mi sono subito accorto che qualcosa non andava perché la ghiera girava a vuoto quando dovevo impostare il giorno, comunque dopo qualche tentativo è andato.. sabato 15 noto che la data e il giorno erano rimasti a venerdì 14.. lo reimposto ma niente da fare.. oggi domenica 16 la data è ferma a sabato 15..
