    Naja

Love but change the wrist band
I love everything about it accept the wrist band. It gave me a horrible rash which literally blistered. Got a new leather band and it’s perfect. I think the steps are close to being accurate but counts a little extra maybe because my arm moving when not walking? I’m not sure. I love that it’s a classic style with smart watch features. The app is easy to use. It charges fast and battery lasts a long time. If I could change anything it would be the size but they all seem to be this big so no choice there. It’s a wonderful watch all together.

Stress monitoring works and it is awesome
I love this watch so much and I expect it to be transformational.

A lot of reviews indicated the Stress leveling was either inaccurate or useless, and I disagree. I am able to induce a state of “relaxed” using autogenic breathing or Yoga Nidra guided relaxation (which is available on Amazon Prime and will play on your Alexa). Things that cause my “stress” to be increased include physical discomfort/pain, children (lol), and of course the emotions I actually associate with “stress.” I think it’s incredibly valuable to know when my stress is high / getting there so I can take a break and relax. It’s the kind of habit that could keep anxiety at bay and I’m stoked.

I also found my sleep monitoring to be accurate within 30 minutes and to have accounted for my toddler waking me up. As others have noted my “stress” isn’t excellent during sleep, but I’m excited to figure out if I can improve this by doing bedtime relaxation exercises that I know how to do but don’t commit to regularly.

I love the admire the analog feel of this smart watch as I gesture a middle finger at the silly YouTube reviews dissing the resolution. It’s monotone, and it is not at all distracting. I’m one of those people who picks up my phone to reply to a text, then has to check Facebook, then the latest headlines, then I remember that thing I wanted to order…20 – 40 minutes later I remember what it was I was doing. This is no way to live, but I depend on my smart phone for legitimate use and I’m not ready to revert to being a Luddite. I also much be reachable at all times. A tiny screen that enables me to be in touch WITHOUT any temptation to wander into apps is exactly what I need, and higher resolution would be pointless. I see it just fine in the sun and it also performed well in a movie theater without being a nuisance. It’s a blessing to be able to read a text without interacting with my phone—if I want to stay off it I reply with Siri otherwise I wait until my next phone break.

I love everything about this watch so far except I find the app a little confusing—I tried to create a “manual activity” and failed. Also iOS has the ability to “mute” notifications from select contacts, which created problems for me that Garmin’s instructions didn’t address (they only address global settings like Do Not Disturb). It was worth the effort to troubleshoot—I already feel more focused and less stressed wearing this watch for just 2 days.

Lastly I’ve never been a step counter and kind of DGAF but I do like counting my “intense” exercise minutes, and the automatic tracking of my bike rides. Very nice!

    Great watch
I really like this phone. I wanted a fitness tracking watch that didn’t look like a fitness watch. I got a reconditioned phone that is like new. It does a great job of tracking my heart rate, sleep, stress level. The app also syncs with my iPhone health app. The battery life is very good so far. It did take me about 30 minutes to get the watch to sync to the Garmin connect app. After 2 attempts I closed the app and I restarted the watch by attaching it to the charger. Then it was able to sync it.

    So far so good
I’ve had this thing for a total of 6 hours now, and I really like it except for a few small things.
1- I can’t see the digital part of the display in the sunlight, and considering I live in Los Angeles, that’s kinda important. I have to make sure I’m in the shade when I start an activity, just so I can start it correctly.
2- there’s no quick start icon for biking. It has walking, running, weights, other cardio and something else that I can’t remember because I’ll never use it. I can go into the app and edit an activity to be biking, but I can’t have it set to that automatically.
3- in the app there’s a hydration tracker, but there’s no way to do it on the device at all.

I can’t speak to the accuracy of the steps counter, but I like that there’s a custom step thing where I can change the length of my stride. That’s be nice because my distance is always off. I have long legs and I never get credit for my full distance because I’m just not taking as many steps as someone shorter.

Also- it’s pretty. That’s probably the number one reason I got this one and not a different one. I’ll admit to that. It’s a bit bigger than I expected, but looking back at the pictures, I should have expected this size.

    Stylish hybrid fitness watch!
I bought this watch with the intention of tracking my steps, calories burned and heart rate, but I didn’t want a smart watch like an Apple (which I also have). I loved the idea of this watch masquerading as a regular fashionable watch rather than a high-tech one.

    Pros:
*lovely colour. I chose rose gold and it is a nice metallic pink with white casing.
*its pedometer is accurate and consistent with other devices I have (Apple Watch, another Garmin).
*its heart rate is accurate and consistent with other devices. I much prefer the HR stats and data from this Garmin device than my Apple Watch (series 6).
*it accurately times and automatically records periods of exercise. Most of the time it gets the type of exercise right (e.g., walking, running). Sometimes it comes up with funny suggestions like swimming for trampolining or, more commonly, elliptical for trampolining! But the duration is always accurate.
*the display is easy to read in most situations. In bright sunlight it’s hard to read, but I think that’s true of most devices on the market.
*it’s easy to pair and sync.
*battery life is really good. I can go around 5 days without a charge which includes hours of intense exercise each week.
*connects via Bluetooth easily and automatically once set up.
*vibrates when your iPhone rings or receives Aussage. This is a brilliant feature for someone like me who often doesn’t hear their phone because it’s buried deep in my handbag or I’m away from my desk.

    Cons:
*the silicone band! This is horrible! It rips your skin off, causes a rash and bleeding. Please Garmin review these bands! I am not the only person commenting on this. I don’t see why they can’t include a leather band as standard (I’ve purchased both a leather band and a Garmin suede band – so soft and comfortable).
*the price is expensive especially considering it doesn’t make calls, send texts, etc, it’s a bit pricey.

Definitely recommend investing in a glass watch face protector. It’ll save your watch!

Overall, this is a well made, well designed hybrid fitness tracker watch which I highly recommend minus the silicone band!

    **Update**
21 months after I originally purchased the watch, the display suddenly started to fail (blurred display, extra lines, freezing) and for the first time the low heart rate alert going off unnecessarily when walking (my HR was 102!) Sadly the warranty is only for 12 months, not two years. I am greatly disappointed in this, hence the downgrading to three stars as I expect more for the money and a great longevity. I absolutely loved this watch 🙁

    Accurate and pretty
It’s very hard to see notifications against the background in the daylight. I found it to be more accurate than my Fitbit versa two. I love the look of it. It’s simple yet pretty. The sleep tracking works every time. Love it

Beau desgin et application très complète
très contente look classique d’une montre avec la base numérique discréte et l’application complète dans le téléphone. Je suis très satisfaite !

Beautiful watch, but minimal fitness support or battery life
If it came down just to aesthetics, I’d be inclined to give this watch 5 stars. However, if it weren’t for the fitness capabilities and smartwatch integration, I wouldn’t have been looking at a hybrid to begin with, so the aesthetics don’t make up for the lack of smart functionality.

I have been using the Vivomove HR for 1 month. I purchased it to replace my Fitbit HR Charge 2, which recently died. I also have a Garmin Forerunner 220 that I’ve held off on upgrading since it still works well, although the newer Forerunners have more functionality. I wanted the Vivomove HR as a more aesthetically pleasing alternative for daily light fitness tracking. I knew that lacking GPS capability, it wouldn’t cover everything I want as far as fitness, but was planning to supplement with the Forerunner.

    Exceeds expectations:
    -Beautiful watch
-No issues syncing to phone–always syncs right away (my Forerunner 220 often struggles to sync)
-HR accurate when compared to other Garmin devices worn concurrently
-Notifications easy to read except in bright sunlight
-Running distance for treadmill run matches treadmill distance

    Meets Expectations:
-Does basic fitness tracking (steps, HR, sleep) within comparable accuracy to Fitbit Charge 2
-Tracks cardio and walking activities, seemingly with accuracy
    -Wristband is comfortable

    Does not meet expectations:
-Battery life is terrible; lasts 2-3 days (Fitbit Charge HR used to last 5-6 days, similar functionality although not as pretty)
-Does not integrate data with data from other Garmin devices in the Garmin Connect app (I have a Forerunner 220 and was hoping to integrate the more accurate running data, but no such luck)
-Run distance is WILDLY inaccurate for outdoor runs–by miles
    -No bike tracking
-Touchscreen sometimes unresponsive–seems to be more often an issue when outside for some reason?
-Activity tracking will sometimes pause randomly (due to vigorous activity?)–happens every other run or so

In the end, while the watch is pretty, I wish I had spent the $200 on a better fitness tracker, and just worn a nicer band when dressing for work. Really glad I didn’t spend $350 for the premium band, which I’m sure has the same battery life and fitness tracking limitations.

Save your money while Garmin works on development, it’s better used on another product.
